Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Job Location: Washington, DC

Job Duties: Prepare and maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers and promotions; develop and implement recruiting strategies to meet anticipated staffing needs for the restaurant; interview employees and independent contractors and process hiring-related paperwork; address employee relations issues such as harassment allegations and work complaints; schedule and conduct new employee orientations; create hiring plans and recruit qualified candidates for all functions of the restaurant including kitchen staff, wait staff and administrative staff; maintain and update human resources documents including organizational charts, employee handbooks and performance evaluation forms; calculate payroll for restaurant staff considering overtime, holidays and evening shifts; confer with management to develop and implement personnel policies.

Requirements: Position requires High School Diploma or foreign equivalent. Position also requires at least 24 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternate occupation of HR Manager or Operations Manager. The required experience must include a minimum of 12 months experience in a company doing business in the restaurant industry.
